pokemon go japanAccording to a report from a few days ago, it was rumored that Pokemon GO was supposed to launch in Japan on the 20th of July, but it was delayed as apparently the hype surrounding the launch of the game made Niantic worried that their servers would not be able to handle the load of players.

That being said, the good news is that Japanese gamers did not have to wait too long as the Pokemon GO Facebook page has announced that the game is now available for download. “Trainers in Japan, thank you for being patient and waiting for us to make Pokémon GO available to your country. Pokémon GO is now available to download in Japan. You can download the game from the Play Store or App Store.”

Earlier we reported that the Japanese government had issued safety warnings to gamers who will be playing the game. This includes watching out for cars, ensuring that you have enough battery, not to accidentally wander off train platforms onto the tracks, and also to watch for your health to ensure that you do not suffer from heatstroke as it is currently summer in the country.

The game is available for download so hit up the iTunes App Store or Google Play. In the meantime the rest of the world without the game will have no choice but to remain patient until it reaches them.
