The fourth DLC pack for Star Wars: Battlefront is going to be something specific. EA and DICE have already done a good job of recreating locations from the original trilogy and they are now looking towards the more recent parts of the Star Wars universe to bring that content to Battlefront. It has been confirmed today that the fourth DLC for this game is going to be based on Rogue One, the movie that’s destined for release later this year.

The Rogue One: Scarif DLC will revolve around the storyline of this movie and it will enable players to play as the rebel Jyn Erso or Director Krennic who is her Imperial nemesis. Players will be fighting for the original Death Star plans on the planet Scarif in this DLC.

A look at the actual gameplay has not been provided yet but EA has promised that it’s going to make Rogue One: Scarif available in time for Rogue One’s release in mid-December. There’s good news for season pass holders. They will get the DLC two weeks before everybody else.

The previously announced Death Star pack has been detailed today as well. Players can play as Chewbacca or the bounty hunter Bossk. This new content is going to be released in September so players will have plenty to keep busy with as they wait for December to get their hands on the Rogue One: Scarif DLC for Star Wars: Battlefront.
