How much storage do you think you really need on your computer? Some people manage to get by with 1TB, others might need more like 10TB, but if you’re running a business that needs to keep a lot of information, naturally this will accumulate over time and amount to a lot of storage, meaning that 1-10TB probably won’t cut it.
If you are in the market for a ton of storage, you might be interested to learn that Seagate has unveiled a new SSD aimed at business users as it comes packing a whopping 60TB of storage. Yup, you read that right, Seagate is basically the first company to offer an SSD with that much storage, but like we said, it is aimed more towards businesses who might have a need for this amount of storage and speed.
However it should be noted that right now, the device exists as something of a working prototype meaning that the image you see above isn’t the final product. However given that we’ve all seen an SSD or two in our lives, chances are the final product shouldn’t really come as a surprise to anyone. Also there is no word on pricing but as it is an SSD and with this amount of storage, we’re almost afraid to ask. It is also scheduled for a release in 2017, so don’t expect to be able to pick one up for yourself just yet.
