If you’re looking forward to checking out what Respawn Entertainment has done with Titanfall 2, you’ll be pleased to learn that the game’s beta is now available for download as long as you own either the PS4 or Xbox One (or both, in some cases), so gamers will want to fire up their consoles and head on over to their respective stores to get their hands on it.

According to the beta’s description, “The Titanfall 2 Open Multiplayer Tech Test offers new Titans, Pilots, and Maps that elevate the fast-paced and exciting gameplay fans expect from the series. Please note that the game is still undergoing testing before its official release and the current Multiplayer Tech Test does not reflect the quality of the final product.”

Note that the beta is only for the multiplayer aspect of the game. If you want single player, you’ll have to wait until the game is released to try it out, which is also why Respawn has opted not to release the beta for the PC lest someone data-mines spoilers for the single player campaign. The beta will also run from the 19th of August until the 21st of August.

However as Respawn said previously, the beta will run for two weekends so if you can’t make it this weekend, or if you just can’t get enough, not to worry as the next beta will kick off from the 26th to the 28th of August again. Titanfall 2 will be released on the 28th of October, so hopefully whatever bugs are discovered in the beta will be ironed out by then. In the meantime you can check out the video above to see some gameplay footage from the beta.
