If you’re facing problems with Gmail know that you’re not the only one. Google has confirmed that it’s investigating an issue with its email service that’s used by hundreds and millions of people across the globe. Reports filtering in on social media suggest that users across Europe and the United States are facing issues with Gmail. Google does point out that the issue appears to be affecting only Google for Work Gmail users at this point in time.

It’s not uncommon for major online services like Gmail to face some downtime and companies like Google are pretty good at getting things up and running again in a short time, so you surely expect this issue to be resolved very soon.

Google has updated its Apps Status dashboard to confirm that it’s investigating reports of an issue with Gmail and that it’s going to provide more information about this shortly. “Based on reports, it affects only Google for Work Gmail users. The users are redirected to a page with ‘Service not available, contact your administrator’,” it added.

It has been an hour since this update was posted on the dashboard and Google is yet to follow up. Users are still facing issues accessing their Gmail accounts or Gchat conversations so hopefully, Google will have an update for us on this soon.
