nexus-9-review-7According to the rumors, word has it that Google has a couple of new phones in the works. These phones are said to be made by HTC and are said to be non-Nexus devices. However as it turns out, there might be new tablets in the works as well. This is according to a tweet by Evan Blass who suggests that this new tablet could be launched by the end of the year.

According to Blass, he claims that this tablet is made by Huawei. Huawei and Google have worked together before with the Nexus 6P so this wouldn’t be that much of a stretch. Details on the tablet remain slim but apparently it will feature a 7-inch display and 4GB of RAM, but other than that we’re not sure what else we can expect.

Assuming that the Pixel rumors are true, there might be a good chance that Google could also be moving away from the Nexus branding for its tablet, and that this could be a new Pixel device. Google has already launched the Pixel C tablet so we guess this move won’t be completely unprecedented.

It’s interesting that these tablet rumors are arriving so late, which has us wondering if maybe the device will see a launch the same time as the Pixel handsets, which is rumored for the 4th of October, or if it will be towards the end of the year, but we guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
