nintendo-wii-u-southwest-airlinesLet’s ask ourselves what do we know about the Nintendo NX? We know it will be released in 2017, and we also know that it exists, but beyond that we just have to deal with a ton of speculation and rumors, which is why it is understandable that Nintendo is trying to cut down on that kind of chatter.

During an interview with GameSkinny (via Go Nintendo), Nintendo of Canada communications manager Andrew Collins said at the start that any questions about the NX would result in the interview probably getting cut short. According to Collins, the company isn’t quite ready to talk about the NX yet and when they are, they will most likely host a Nintendo Direct to speak about it.

However it seems that mentioning that they can’t ask about the NX is also a no-go, and GameSkinny later updated their post with a redacted message. Now we’re not sure why Nintendo is being this secretive, but like we said, maybe the company is sick of the speculation and rumors which could hurt them, especially if some of them turn out not to be true.

Or maybe they just don’t want gamers reading in between the lines and overhyping the console, only to be disappointed when it is revealed. In any case like we said, almost nothing is known about the console for now, but obviously they will need to reveal something before its release, so everyone just needs to play the waiting game for now.
