Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios developed the first Forza Horizon game that was released back in 2012 for Xbox 360 since that was Microsoft’s flagship console at the time. The second game in this franchise was aptly called Forza Horizon 2 and it was released in 2014 for both Xbox One and Xbox 360. Now that Forza Horizon 3 is just around the corner, Microsoft thinks it’s time that the original title said goodbye, so it’s going to remove it from the Xbox Store.

Microsoft has confirmed that it’s going to pull the original Forza Horizon game from the Xbox Store next month as it’s going to finally reach “End of Life” status.

What this means is that not only the game will be removed, but all of its post-launch DLC will no longer be available for purchase as well. Those who have purchased the original game before it’s pulled will be able to download and play it as well as the associated DLC just like before. However, once the game is pulled, it and the DLC will no longer be sold via the Xbox Store.

Forza Horizon 3 is already out for those who picked up the Ultimate version. The full release is going to take place on September 27. Forza Horizon 3 is only going to be released on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC.
