T-Mobile Asks Customers Not To Upgrade To iOS 10

ios-10-release-dateIf you are a T-Mobile customer and are planning to update your iOS device to iOS 10, don’t. This is what T-Mobile’s CEO John Legere is advising customers in a tweet which reads, “Apple is working to resolve the issue with iOS10 for @TMobile customers. Don’t download iOS10 if you currently use an iPhone 5SE, 6 or 6+”.

In case you haven’t heard, iOS 10 for T-Mobile is causing some connectivity issues on devices. Users are reporting that after updating, they have lost cellular signals, and the only way to get the signal back would be to restart their device, which Legere does point out while responding to comments is a temporary fix.

However the problem is said to pop up again meaning that you could end up restarting your iOS device several times during the day, which would be downright irritating. It is unclear as to what exactly these issues are, but they seem to only affect users on T-Mobile’s network, but either way hopefully it will clear up soon.

iOS 10 has successfully been installed on 14.5% of all iOS devices within the first 24 hours, higher than its predecessor iOS 9. However with issues like this, we have to wonder if it will end up impacting its adoption, kind of like with iOS 8 which had several problems right out of the gate that caused its adoption to be slower than usual.
