If you are an iCloud user and use Apple’s iOS or Mac products and you have been receiving some spam invites on your calendar, you’re not alone. In fact it seems to be popping up more frequently as of late, and users are getting pretty fed up with it. However the good news is that Apple has finally acknowledged it and will be fixing it.

According to a tweet by iMore’s Rene Ritchie, he posted a statement from Apple which reads, “We are sorry that some of our users are receiving spam calendar invitations. We are actively working to address this issue by identifying and blocking suspicious senders and spam in the invites being sent.”

It is unclear how these spammers even got past in the first place considering that this has never been an issue in the past, but hopefully whatever the reason is, Apple can fix it ASAP. In the meantime there have been several guides posted onto the internet on how to deal with the spam.

One of which involves redirecting those spam invites to your email where hopefully your email provider can detect the spam and block it on your behalf, or the alternative is to create a separate calendar where you can send the spam to and delete it without actually having to respond to the spam invite.
