We know that many of you guys are excited for HBO’s next season of Game of Thrones, which will be season 7 and will be debuting in 2017. However in case you want the tiniest sneak peek at the footage of the show, you’re in luck as HBO has posted a trailer of all of their upcoming shows and movies, in which for a few seconds we got to see Game of Thrones.
The sneak peek gave us a look at Arya Stark riding on a horse, Sansa Stark walking through the snow, and Jon Snow. Unfortunately that was all we got, so like we said, it really is a tiny sneak peek at what’s to come. We should remind you guys that in 2017, the 7th season will not be debuting at its usual time in April. Instead HBO has chosen to delay the release to the summer of 2017.
Apparently due to the storyline and because of the need to film more scenes in winter, the schedule of the filming had to be changed, hence the delay. However we guess better late than never, right? Season 7 will also be the second-last season for the series which is expected to conclude in season 8.
There will only be 13 episodes left in the series as well, meaning that instead of 10 per season, the 13 episodes will be divided up amongst the last two seasons. There is a chance we could be getting more Game of Thrones has HBO has confirmed that there are talks regarding a prequel, but whether or not that will happen remains to be seen.
