Samsung was expected to launch a couple of new smartphones this month but the latest out of China suggests that the company has delayed their release. We’ve been hearing about the Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C7 Pro for a couple of months now. Both mid-range handsets were supposed to be released in December. Word out of China is that the release of both smartphones has been delayed by Samsung to January 2017.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Galaxy C7 Pro is expected to feature a 5.7 inch Full HD display, it may be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB RAM and might feature a 16 megapixel rear and front camera as well as a 3,300mAh battery.

Only limited information is available right now about the specs of the Galaxy C5 Pro. It might be powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor as well with 3GB of RAM. Both handsets are likely to feature a metal build that’s becoming common on Samsung’s mid-range smartphones.

Samsung hadn’t really confirmed officially if it was going to launch the smartphones in December but the timing was perceived to be right. The rumor out of China doesn’t say why Samsung has decided to delay the release of these smartphones.

No official word as yet from the company on when we can expect the Galaxy C5 Pro and the Galaxy C7 Pro to arrive. It’s unclear right now how many markets these handsets will be released in.
