dota-2-700Over the years, Valve has been making various tweaks and changes to DotA 2, such as improving on features like UI, hero balancing, map balancing, item balancing, and more. However if you are looking for something more than just a couple of tweaks here and there, Patch 7.00 might be of interest to you.

We have known that the patch was on its way for a while now, and back in August Valve teased a new Monkey King hero for the game. Now for gamers who are interested in seeing what the patch has to offer, Valve has since launched its Patch 7.00 page where they dive into great detail the various changes that will be coming to the game.

First and foremost is the Monkey King hero which will be the first original hero added to the game that was not based on the original DotA game. There will also be changes made to the map, new talent trees, and a new HUD interface that is supposed to offer up increased visibility, a new top bar and minimap, a new hero control console, and more.

So far impressions of the changes are mixed. Some are pretty excited at the changes and new features, while some are understandably upset as it means having to relearn certain skills and breaking some habits. Patch 7.00 for DotA 2 has been scheduled for a release on the 12th of December for test clients, so if you’d like to find out more, hit up the DotA 2 website for the details.
