exolens[CES 2017] Back at CES 2016, the ExoLens for the iPhone was revealed. In case you’re hearing about it for the first time, the ExoLens is a bracket designed for the iPhone that will allow users to attach a Zeiss lens attachment to it. The only downside is that due to the way the bracket is designed, you either have to choose between using the bracket or putting on a case for your phone.

The good news is that isn’t the case anymore. The company has recently revealed an upgraded version of the ExoLens that they will be showing off at CES 2017. As you can see in the image to the right, the new ExoLens is a case for your iPhone 7 that lets you attach the lens to it, meaning that you get to protect your phone and boost its camera capabilities at the same time.

ExoLens is of course not the first company to offer up such protection as we have seen similar offerings from the likes of Olloclip and Moment. However the only difference is that ExoLens will support Zeiss lenses, so if you are a fan of Zeiss camera lenses and the quality that they bring to the table, then the ExoLens case could be worth your consideration.

No word on how much the case itself would cost, but as it stands the existing bracket system and the lenses are sold as a kit via Apple’s Online Store for $200.
