titanfall-frontline-6
Titanfall fans might have been waiting for the Titanfall mobile game that was confirmed many months ago. Titanfall: Frontline was going to be a mobile game based on Respawn’s popular shooter franchise. The developer has now officially confirmed that this Titanfall mobile game has been canceled. It’s sad that it has met this fate even before it was properly released.

Titanfall: Frontline never got a proper release. Only a select few were able to take part in the closed beta on iOS and Android.

In a Facebook post, developer of this Titanfall mobile game Particle City says that it “learned an incredible amount” from the closed beta. What it discovered was that it wasn’t feasible to port Titanfall to mobile devices.

“The experience wasn’t ready to deliver the intense action-packed gameplay synonymous with Titanfall,” Particle City said in the post. Those who were able to get in on the beta only have a few days left to enjoy playing it. The developer says that it’s going to wind down the beta in the next couple of days before shutting it down completely on January 20th.

Bear in mind that Respawn does have a partnership with Nexon so even though Titanfall: Frontline didn’t pan out, there will be more mobile games based on Titanfall in the future. “While it’s never easy to cancel a game, we’re excited to take some of the concepts we saw resonate with players and build off of them in future Titanfall mobile games,” the developer says.
