If you’re a fan of the Titanfall franchise, you might be interested to learn that Titanfall will now be playable on your mobile device, or at least in a sense as Titanfall: Assault has since been launched for iOS and Android devices. However unlike the original Titanfall, Assault will be a different game.

Instead of it being a shooter, it seems that Titanfall: Assault will be more of an RTS kind of game, but it will be based on the Titanfall series of games. According to the description on its website, “Put your combat skills to the test by unleashing a powerful arsenal of Titans and Pilots, including units from Titanfall 2 plus brand new specialized units only for the mobile game. Deploy Sim Ninja, Boomer, Ion, Scorch and more onto the battlefield to fight for control of the Frontier. Collect and upgrade dozens of cards including tactical Burn Cards, which provide powerful support.”

Players can play with other players, form or join guilds, play with friends, and so on. It is an interesting take on the franchise but whether or not it will be successful remains to be seen (the trailer does make it seem pretty fun). The game is developed by Nexon as part of a deal with Respawn where we can expect to see more mobile titles based on Titanfall released in the future.

The game is free to play but there will be in-app purchases, so take that into consideration if you are thinking of getting your hands on it. It is available for download via the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
