Having officially confirmed Destiny 2, Bungie can now go about teasing fans until it’s ready to reveal more information about this much-awaited title. The developer has released a Destiny 2 teaser trailer merely days after sending out the first piece of artwork for the game. There’s already a lot of hype surrounding the game so it’s not like Bungie needs any help in that department.

Fans will not be happy to find out that this Destiny 2 cinematic trailer doesn’t show off any gameplay visuals which they have been most anxious to see. It doesn’t reveal any gameplay details and doesn’t reveal any plans for the release date or platforms.

The teaser trailer introduces us to Cayde-6 who is voiced by Nathan Fillion. Cayde-6 is nursing a drink at the bar as he shares memories of adventures that featured “a lot of shooting.” The idea here appears to be adding a bit of humor to it all.

It would make sense for Bungie to do that given that it had to bear criticism for the very serious tone of the first game and not to mention the fact that many thought the story was somewhat confusing as well. This teaser trailer should give fans hope that Bungie has addressed some of those pain points and that the new title will be much better.

Destiny 2 is expected to be released later this year for PS4, Xbox One, and PC in September.
