According to analysts, many seem to be predicting that with 2017’s iPhone 8, Apple will experience what they are calling a “super cycle”, where it basically means that Apple can expect to see incredibly high amounts of iPhone sales that they did not before. Some have even predicted that it could beat that of the iPhone 6.

In a report from CNBC, they revealed that in an interview with Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty, she has predicted that with the iPhone 8’s super cycle, it could add 20% of unit sales in fiscal 2018. This is notable as it would seem that Huberty’s predictions is double that of most analysts who are predicting a 10% increase in unit sales.

According to Huberty, “We do not think the super cycle is fully appreciated. What we expect in September is a phone that has significant advancements in technology: OLED screens, 3-D sensors, wireless charging [and] likely some more advanced software in the area of artificial intelligence.”

CNBC has referred to Huberty’s track record as being one of the “best”, so perhaps Huberty’s claims could come true in Apple’s case. So far it seems that she might be on the right track as a recent survey has found that demand and interest in Apple’s next iPhone is high.
