LeEco hasn’t been making a lot of noise recently probably because many reports suggest that the company is dealing with some financial troubles. Nevertheless, it has now come out with a new handset called the LeEco Le Pro3 Elite. We had been hearing for a few weeks now that the company could soon launch a new smartphone and those predictions have turned out to be true with the official launch of the Le Pro3 Elite.

This is actually a new variant of the LeEco Le Pro3 that the company launched last year. Even though the “Elite” moniker might make you think that this offers better specs than last year’s model, that’s actually not the case.

While the Le Pro3 had a Snapdragon 821 processor the Le Pro3 Elite actually has a Snapdragon 820 processor and doesn’t even feature NFC like its predecessor. All of the other specs appear to be similar, including but not limited to the 5.5 inch full HD display, 16 megapixel f/2.0 rear camera, 32GB storage, and 4GB of RAM. It does have a 4,070mAh battery and all customers do get a free 3 month subscription to LeEco’s content streaming service.

Customers who are interested in picking one up can head over to lemall.com right now and purchase the Le Pro3 Elite for CNY 1699 or $240. It’s just $30 cheaper than the Le Pro 3 but the cost savings do take away the Snapdragon 821 processor and the NFC chip.
