Back in the day when RPGs such as Baldur’s Gate were extremely popular, along came Planescape: Torment that was created by the same developers at Black Isle Studio. In many ways it was similar in style, gameplay, and graphics to Baldur’s Gate as it was using a modified version of the Infinity Engine.

Now in recent times, developers at Beamdog have put together Enhanced Editions of the Baldur’s Gate franchise, and the good news for those who loved Planescape: Torment is that it looks like we will be getting an Enhanced Edition version of the game as well, where it is expected to make its way onto the likes of the PC, Mac, and Linux.

There is no mention of whether it will find its way onto mobile devices like we’ve seen with Baldur’s Gate, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it did eventually. That being said, the Enhanced Edition will come with the same features that we’ve seen in Beamdog’s previous efforts, such as updated graphics, support for 4K, remastered music, and more.

According to the Steam listing, the game is expected to be released on the 12th of April where it will be priced at $20, so if this something you’re interested in, then you’ll want to mark those dates down on your calendar. In the meantime you can check out the game’s trailer in the video above.
