If you own either the Samsung Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 (2016) models and you were wondering about the status of the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the phone, then you will be pleased to learn that the update appears to be undergoing testing and that it is currently pegged for a release this coming May.

However we should point out that the release in May is actually a bit of a delay because the original plan for the release, at least for the 2016 Galaxy A3 was previously set for the 24th of April, but it has since been moved to the first week of May. All three devices won’t be getting the update at the same time as the 2016 Galaxy A5 is set for a release between the 22-28 of May, along with the 2016 Galaxy A7.

That being said these dates might not necessarily be the same for everyone. This is because sometimes carriers require pre-approval of the update before it is released, meaning that there might be additional time between the company releasing the update and the carrier approving it, but either way it looks like a release in May is currently in the cards, that is unless there is something wrong and the update gets delayed again (hopefully not).
