Instagram already allows you to bookmark a post if you want to view it later but it wasn’t possible to sort those bookmarks into different categories. The Facebook-owned photo-sharing service has announced today that users will now be able to organize their bookmarks into private collections. This will enable them to sort as many saved posts as they like into as many collections as they want to create.

Users just need to tap and hold the bookmark icon underneath any post to save it directly to a collection. They can create and name a new collection when they save a post or they can decide to add the post to a collection that they’ve already created.

It’s also possible to create a collection out of existing saved posts. Just tap the plus icon in the top right corner, give the collection a name, and then select the saved posts that are to be added to that collection.

The collections will be listed under the saved posts tab on a user’s profile. Just like all saved posts, the collections will remain private and only the user will be able to see them.

This feature is included in the latest Instagram release version 10.16 that’s live now and available for download on iOS and Android through the App Store and Google Play Store, respectively.
