It appears that DJI is working on a new drone which just might be the smallest drone it has ever made. The images of the unannounced DJI Spark appeared on Chinese DJI forums and they quickly spread online before that post was taken down. There’s speculation about the Spark and whether it has the same foldable design as the DJI Mavic Pro and when is the Chinese company planning on unveiling it.

DJI is yet to confirm if it has a new drone in the pipeline called Spark but it did trademark the name recently. The Spark looks like a mini version of the DJI Mavic Pro and might be marketed as a selfie drone.

Even a video has appeared online which shows us what might possibly be a prototype of the Spark drone. We can see that it has a vertical tilting camera which will aid in quickly taking pictures and capturing video.

Given that the drone will be quite small in size, it remains to be seen if it’s going to have foldable arms like the Mavic Pro does.

Nothing is known about the controller at this point in time, it’s unclear if the Spark will even come with one, or if customers will just have to control it via a mobile app.
