The HTC U 11 is HTC’s upcoming smartphone that is supposed to be unveiled on the 16th of May as per HTC’s invite. Not much is known about the phone at the moment save for its squeezable touch-sensitive frame that supposedly lets users interact with the phone via swipes and gestures.

However given that it is supposed to be HTC’s flagship, certain assumptions can be made, like it sporting at least a QHD display and also a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. Turns out that these assumptions could right, thanks to a recent post on MySmartPrice in which the alleged specs of the HTC U 11 have been leaked online.

According to the specs, we’re looking at a QHD 5.5-inch display and Snapdragon 835 chipset. We are also looking at support for microSDXC with up to 2TB of storage, 6GB of RAM, a 12MP rear-facing f/1.7 UltraPixel 3 camera with OIS, a front-facing camera with a 16MP sensor with an f/2.0 lens, IP57 certification, and like we said, the touch-sensitive frame which HTC is calling “Edge Sense”.

In any case we should have the official details in a couple of weeks so if you were a bit disappointed with what HTC unveiled in the form of the HTC U Play and U Ultra, maybe the HTC U 11 could redeem the company.
