Microsoft is conducting an event tomorrow and it’s expected that the company is going to show off some new hardware products, we could be getting a new Surface Pro device even though the company has said that there’s no such thing as the Surface Pro 5. Nevertheless, the company itself has teased some new Surface Pro Type Covers which will presumably be launched alongside its new device tomorrow.

Panos Panay, Microsoft’s Surface chief, posted a picture on Instagram which teases four new Surface Pro Type Covers. The picture is accompanied by the caption “30 hours to go.” Microsoft’s event is scheduled to take place tomorrow in Shanghai.

Not much information has been revealed about these new covers at this point in time, but they appear to be covered in alcantara, which is the same fabric that Microsoft is using on the Surface Laptop.

As for what we can expect from the company tomorrow, a recent leak suggested that the device will look similar to the Surface Pro 4. It may not be a major update and might only have minor hardware changes. It doesn’t even appear to have a USB Type-C port.

We should hear more about this product from Microsoft at its event tomorrow.
