It has been confirmed by Samsung that it’s going to release a refurbished version of the Galaxy Note 7 in select markets this year. We don’t know what it’s going to end up calling the refurbished version but the rumor mill is calling it the Galaxy Note 7R at this point in time. Some pictures of the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 have appeared online.

Since it’s just going to be a refurbished version with a new battery, don’t expect any changes in design. We can see in these images that the design is exactly the same as the original Galaxy Note 7 which came out last year.

All other specifications should be the same as well. The Galaxy Note 7R is likely going to feature the same Exynos 8890 processor with 4GB of RAM, 5.7 inch Quad HD display, and a 12 megapixel rear camera.

The images reveal that the Galaxy Note 7R is going to come with a smaller 3,200mAh battery and that Android 7.0 Nougat is going to be pre-installed.

Samsung is yet to confirm the markets where it’s going to release the refurbished Galaxy Note 7. It’s believed to release it in South Korea and maybe some emerging markets in the region as well. Samsung has confirmed previously that the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 won’t be released in the United States.
