T-Mobile’s Galaxy S8 Red Tint Update Isn’t Working For Everyone

Recently it was reported that T-Mobile had begun pushing out an update to the Galaxy S8 and S8+ handsets on their network that is supposed to address the issue of the handset’s displays sporting a red tint. Unfortunately it seems that the update isn’t quite working for everyone as there are some complaints that claim it hasn’t fixed the issue.

In a post on Reddit, there are several users who are claiming that the red tint is still there even after the update. One user writes, “Looks like after the update I still have a bit of red tint when the phone is angled as well as on the edges.“ Another adds, “Screen still looks terrible and pink when put at a 30 degree angle, edges look better tho :/ gonna see if i can get it replaced.“

However it seems that the complaints aren’t in the majority so maybe the users who were affected are just a handful. The rest of the comments seem to be pretty pleased with the update, with some claiming that it has made their phone’s display look “flawless”. In any case we guess your mileage may vary but this isn’t really that big of an issue, and if you do suffer from the problem even after the update, we guess you could always take the phone back and see if you can get it replaced.
