The last time we saw a major The Elder Scrolls title released was in the form of Skyrim. As you might have heard, it seems that Bethesda will be taking a break from the Elder Scrolls franchise for a while because last we heard, the next title is still years and years away, according to the company themselves.

That being said, we’re not sure why but some fans are still inclined to believe that this isn’t the case, but that’s something that Bethesda’s VP of marketing Pete Hines wants to remind everyone. In the video above which features Hines in an interview, the Bethesda exec was quick to remind gamers that the Elder Scrolls 6 is still not yet in development.

Hines stated that the studio still has at least two major titles that they are working on before they even get around to the Elder Scrolls 6, which pretty much is in line with the company’s earlier statement about the game being years and years away. Hines was also quick to point out that there is no work being done on the game while other titles are being worked on, so it’s not as if Bethesda is quietly developing the game at the same time.

In any case it will definitely be a long time before we even heard about the game, but the question is will the interest in it still be as strong for when the time actually comes?
