Over the past week, we’ve seen a couple of leaks which suggested that Sony is preparing to launch a new color option for the PlayStation 4 Slim. Leaked images showed that the console was going to be offered in gold color. Now you might think that this is an unorthodox color choice for a gaming console but Sony thinks there’s going to be demand for it. Sony has officially announced the limited edition gold PlayStation 4 Slim.
Yes, you read that right, this is going to be a limited edition model so if this is something that interests you, you should probably not waste any time in picking one up. Who knows how many units Sony is going to ship of this gold PS4.
The gold PlayStation 4 Slim features 1TB of internal storage aside from its gold color. That’s all there is to this console. Other than that, it’s the same PlayStation 4 that we all know and love.
Sony is going to sell this console for $249. That’s a $50 discount compared to the normal retail price of $299.99. As previously mentioned, it’s only going to be sold for a limited time.
Sony is going to sell the gold PS4 Slim between June 9th and June 17th and will also offer additional discounts on software and accessories during this period.
