The first YotaPhone was announced a couple of years ago and it was unlike anything on the market back then. It was totally unique in the sense that the device featured an e-ink display at the back. The successor, aptly titled YotaPhone 2, came out in 2014 and improved upon the original handset. According to a new report, the YotaPhone 3 has been announced at an expo in China.

The YotaPhone 2 was first released in 2014. The handset made its way to a few markets across the globe. It was also due to be released in North America. However, the North American release for the YotaPhone 2 was later canceled.

According to a report out of China, the YotaPhone 3 has been announced by Yota Devices at the China-Russia Expo in Harbin. No further details about the handset have been made available at this point in time. It’s said that the YotaPhone 3 will be available in 64GB and 128GB flavors with a price tag of $350 and $450 respectively.

Word on the street is that Yota Devices will start shipping the YotaPhone 3 in China come September while pre-orders with start in Russia around the same time. No word as yet whether the YotaPhone 3 is going to be released in North America.
