Disney made several Star Wars-related announcements at its D23 Expo in Los Angeles. It also provided Electronic Arts the platform to reveal more information about the single-player mode of Star Wars Battlefront 2. EA had said that it would soon reveal more details about the campaign mode. It has now released a video which showcases what the story mode has to offer.

Disney’s D23 Expo is a bi-annual affair. Normally, movies and theme park-related announcements make headlines out of the event but we often get to hear updates about upcoming games as well.

Fans of the first game will no doubt be curious about the campaign mode of Star Wars Battlefront 2. The new four-minute video that EA has released at D23 Expo shows a behind-the-scenes look at the development process as well as a glimpse of the in-game pre-alpha footage. Players will be taking control of the Empire’s special forces command Iden Versio in the story mode.

The events in Star Wars Battlefront 2 are going to be entirely canonical and EA wants the deep narrative of the story mode to shine through. The trailer goes into depth about the characters of the Inferno Square and the world that they operate in.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is due for release come November 17th.
