We’ve heard rumors about a foldable smartphone for quite some time now, however, those rumors have long been associated with Samsung. While it’s still unclear if and when Samsung will launch its much-rumored foldable smartphone, a new report claims that ZTE is going to launch its Axon M foldable smartphone at an event next month. The device is reportedly going to be a foldable dual-screen smartphone with full HD resolution.

The folks at Android Authority hear that ZTE is going to unveil its foldable smartphone codenamed Axom Multy next month. The device may be launched as the Axon M at a launch event on October 17th.

It’s reportedly going to have dual full HD displays which will fold out into a 6.8 inch panel with 1,920 x 2,160 pixel resolution. When folded out, the handset apparently looks like a conventional smartphone with a sleek frame.

No further information is available about this handset right now so it’s unclear what it’s full specifications are going to be. ZTE is going to conduct a press event in New York City on October 17th and it’s possible that we’ll get to hear more about the Axon M from the company then.

It’s also possible that some renders and images of the device will be leaked out ahead of its expected announcement next month. That’s always the case with unreleased devices, something almost always leaks.
