At one point in time, many companies who were making gadgets thought that offering customers the option of being able to see through their device and into its innards was something that they might like, and we suppose for a while there was a trend of seeing many people walking around with transparent Nintendo Game Boys.

That being said could HTC be thinking of reviving the trend? According to leakster Evan Blass, they could be because in a recent tweet, Blass revealed that HTC could be offering up the HTC U11+ in a translucent finish as one of its options. Blass claims that the phone will be offered in black, silver, and translucent, which actually has us wondering if some of those earlier teaser images shared by HTC, like that of the wireless charging image, could have actually been a hint of what’s to come?

That being said, it is unclear as to when HTC will announce the HTC U11+. HTC currently has an event planned for the 2nd of November, although Blass had then tweeted (and appears to have deleted) his tweet about the event being about the HTC U11 Life and not the U11+, but given that the tweet was deleted it is possible that might have been wrong.

Either way it’s in a few days time so we should have all the official details then, so remember to check back with us if the HTC U11+ sounds like something you might be interested in getting.
