Microsoft To Integrate LinkedIn With Outlook.com

Given how many social media platforms there are today, it also means that one would have to create a bunch of different profiles, whether it be for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google+, and more, which can be rather overwhelming and also tiresome. However the good news for Outlook.com users is that they can sort of save themselves a bit of effort.

This is because in the latest announcement made by Microsoft, the company has announced that integration between LinkedIn and Outlook.com will be going live. Plans for integration were announced last month and it looks like it will now be available for users. According to Microsoft, “Starting today, this new experience begins rolling out to consumer users of Outlook.com, providing rich insights, profile pictures, work history, and more, right from within your personal inbox.”

Basically this saves users the effort from having to create separate profiles for their accounts, and it can also help users look up other users on LinkedIn within Outlook.com (assuming they linked their accounts together). This isn’t the first time we’ve seen LinkedIn integrate itself into email services, although given that Microsoft successfully closed their acquisition of the company last year, seeing Microsoft integrate their products together doesn’t really come as a surprise.
