Overwatch, the game with more than 35 million players, might be headed to Mac. An installer for Overwatch for Mac has been discovered but whatever it ends up installing on the platform right now is not playable. This is an indication that Overwatch for Mac might be in the pipeline, even though there haven’t been any official announcements indicating that it’s going to be released at some point in the future.

Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan has previously said that the company is opening to launching the game on Mac while adding that “we just sort of need the priorities of our development process to line up with the capabilities of the platform in order for it to become a reality.”

Someone on Reddit was able to find the installer for Overwatch for Mac by altering the download URL for the PC version of the installer. The link to the installer comes from Battle.net so there might be some truth to this after all.

Blizzard hasn’t made any official announcement regarding Overwatch for Mac at this point in time. It’s conducting the BlizzCon this weekend so if an announcement is to be made, now would be the best time to make it.

When contacted by Polygon for a response, a representative for Blizzard said that the development team has “nothing to announce at this time.” An outright denial hasn’t been issued as yet so this is a good sign for those who have been waiting for Overwatch on Mac.
