2018 Battlefield Game Won’t Be Bad Company 3

It was reported recently that the 2018 Battlefield game is going to be Bad Company 3. The assumption came from a YouTube video which suggested that Bad Company 3 is going to be the new Battlefield title that comes out next year. The video provided purported details about the next title which are now reportedly said to be not true.

Eurogamer hears that while an idea for Battlefield Bad Company 3 existed, it’s not in development. The video had suggested that the game would have a “mid and post-Vietnam conflict” with game modes like Conquest, Operations, Rush, and Team Deathmatch.

There would also have been era-appropriate guns, tighter maps, character classes like Assault, Recon, Engineer, and Support as well as LAVs, modern tanks, helicopters, and more.

There have been plenty of rumors about Bad Company 3 but they have been shot down in the latest report. DICE Sweden is reportedly working on the next Battlefield title and it’s expected to be set in the second World War.

That won’t be surprising at all, given that the current Battlefield game has been very well received with its World War 1 setting receiving a lot of praise.

There’s no official confirmation about any of this from the studio or the publisher and that’s not surprising, we still have a few months to go before an official announcement becomes due.
