Alleged HTC U12 Render Hints At Bezel-less Display

The trend that we’ve been seeing in the past 1-2 years is that phone makers are starting to make more phones with thinner display bezels, giving it the illusion that the phone is all display. However if there is one handset maker that hasn’t really hopped on board that bandwagon yet, it would be HTC.

Last year the company’s HTC U11+ did sport thinner bezels, but it doesn’t exactly compare to the likes of the Galaxy S8, S8+, or the Note 8. However that could change this year, because in a render posted by SuggestPhone, it shows off the alleged design of the upcoming HTC U12, and from what we can tell, it looks like HTC could really be shedding off those bezels for their next flagship handset.

It’s admittedly a bit hard to tell where the bezels start and end especially with the screen being turned off, but from what we can make of it, it looks promising. We had heard an earlier rumor that suggested that HTC might be launching fewer phones this year in an effort to concentrate on their flagships.

The company is expected to launch the HTC U12 which is said to be their only flagship for the year. Whether or not that is true remains to be seen, and when exactly it will launch is anyone’s guess. However CES is next week, and MWC is next month, so either event is possible.
