Due to the sheer amount of phones that some Android OEMs put out, sometimes you can’t really blame them for choosing to focus on their new devices when it comes to updates and new features, and with that being said, you really have to commend OnePlus on the fact that they aren’t completely neglecting some of their older phones.

Now we do know that the OnePlus 5T’s Face Unlock feature will be coming to the OnePlus 5, and now according to a report from CNET, it appears that the feature will also be coming to 2016’s OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. This was confirmed by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei who was interviewed by the publication and was quoted as saying, “There’s no reason to withhold features we can easily implement.”

However Pei did not provide a date as to when the feature will be released, but he did state that the feature will be coming to both handsets in a beta soon. As it stands the feature has found its way into the beta of the OnePlus 5, so presumably OnePlus is working on getting the feature out for the OnePlus 5 first before moving onto the OnePlus 3 and 3T, and also possibly checking to make sure the port of the feature works well.
