Much of the coverage about Huawei’s P series of smartphones has been concentrated around the upcoming P20 handsets. The company is due to launch the new handsets on March 27th in Paris and they’re certainly come with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Before it launches them, though, Huawei has rolled out the Oreo update for the P10 and P10 Plus.

Huawei launched a beta test for the P10 Oreo update about two months ago and that has finally concluded with the release of the public build of Oreo for these handsets. The confirmation comes from the official Huawei Philippines Facebook page which revealed that the update will soon be rolling out to users.

A changelog hasn’t been provided at this point in time so it’s unclear what features are specifically included in these builds. Users can already expect to find all features that come as part and parcel of the Android 8.0 Oreo update included in this release.

Huawei has started rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the P10 and P10 Plus over-the-air so it’s going to be a while before it goes live for users in all regions. It should only be a matter of time now seeing as how the rollout has begun.

The company’s fans are most excited about its upcoming devices, though. The P20, P20 Lite, and P20 Pro will be announced on March 27th and at least one of the devices will feature a triple camera system at the back.
