If massive battle royale type of games are your thing, you might be interested to learn that Tencent’s PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is now available on mobile where if you live in the US and Canada, you’ll be able to get your hands on the game for both iOS and Android devices, where presumably it will also eventually make its way to other countries.

PUBG for mobile’s release comes at an interesting time because Epic’s Fortnite Battle Royale has also recently just been released where already it has topped the charts in 13 different countries. However one of the advantages that PUBG has is that it is available on both iOS and Android, whereas Fortnite is currently only available on iOS with an Android version in the works.

Also it seems that the requirements for PUBG is lower where it will support older devices like the iPhone 5s where as Fortnite supports the iPhone 6s and above. However note that according to the app’s description, this is a port of the PC version of the game, although they do boast that it apparently “perfectly recreates” the PC version.

If this sounds like something you might be interested in checking out, then head on over to the iTunes App Store or Google Play for the download.
