LG V30 owners on Verizon can rejoice as they will finally be able to get a taste of Oreo. The country’s largest mobile carrier has started rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo for the LG V30 on its network. The update is now being rolled out over-the-air and will soon go live for users in all regions across the country.

Verizon has started rolling out software version VS99620a for the LG V30 on its network. Multiple reports have confirmed that it’s version Android 8.0 Oreo. Since this is a major Android platform update the file size is quite large at 1.7GB so users will certainly want to connect their device to a good Wi-Fi network before they download the update.

The update brings all of the new features that are part and parcel of Android 8.0 Oreo. Users should also expect to see some user interface improvements as well. As previously mentioned, since the update is being rolled out over-the-air, it might take a few days for it to go live for all users.

At least LG V30 owners on Verizon can now rest assured that it’s only a matter of time before they’re able to get a taste of Oreo on their handsets. The carrier will eventually release the update for other compatible LG handsets as well down the road.
