There are many companies out there who will gladly sell you a laptop for all of your serious PC gaming needs and Samsung is one of them. Samsung today announced the launch of its Notebook Odyssey Z which it claims is a laptop that will provide you with an “unparalleled gaming experience.” Easier said than done, surely.

Samsung touts the Notebook Odyssey Z’s AeroFlow Cooling System that provides advanced thermal management. It’s made p of three key components which include the Dynamic Spread Vapor Chamber, the Z AeroFlow Cooling Design, and the Z Blade Blower.

Together, they help keep the laptop cool during intense gaming sessions without compromising on the portability. The Dynamic Spread Vapor Chamber covers both GPU and CPU for optimal heat management while the Vapor Chamber is backed by the Z AeroFlow Cooling Design to push cold air to the hottest parts of the machine.

As far as specs are concerned, the Notebook Odyssey Z ships with Intel’s latest 8th Generation Core i7 processor with 6 cores as 12 threads. It has support for the latest DDR5 memory and touts the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Max-P graphics card.

The Crater Keycaps of the keyboard improve precision and comfort while the new touchpad has been designed in a way to replicate the desktop-like feel. There are shortcut keys for capturing and recording gameplay as well as a Silent mode option which brings down the fan noise level to 22 decibels.

Samsung has said that the Notebook Odyssey Z is going to be available in select markets in April. It’s going to be released in the United States in Q3, 2018. Pricing has not yet been confirmed.
