Monster Hunter Movie Enters Production In September


Fans of the Monster Hunter game will be interested in finding out that there’s going to be a movie based on this title and that it’s going to star Milla Jovovich. According to a new report, the upcoming Monster Hunter film will be going into production this September. It’s going to be directed by Paul W. S. Anderson and just as Resident Evil: The Final Chapter was filmed in Cape Town, South Africa, this new movie will be filmed in that city as well.

Variety reports that the Monster Hunter film has a budget of around $60 million with Paul W. S. Anderson in the director’s chair and Jeremy Bolt in the producer’s. Milla Jovovich, who has previously starred in the Resident Evil film, is going to be cast in this movie as well.

The Monster Hunter movie is going to be filmed in and around Cape Town. Paul W. S. Anderson has written the script for this movie which is going to be the subject of a worldwide studio deal. Foreign distributors will not be able to pick it up on the open market.

In other Monster Hunter news, Capcom recently confirmed that the title is going to be released for the Nintendo Switch. Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate for Nintendo Switch is going to be released in North America on August 28th.
