If you’ve enjoyed Capcom’s Monster Hunter World and are hoping to see more Monster Hunter-related content in the future, you’ll be pleased to learn that it has since been announced that there will be a new expansion for the game called Iceborne that is currently scheduled for a release in the fall of 2019.

According to Capcom’s announcement, “Monster Hunter: World marked the start of a new age for the Monster Hunter series on PlayStation 4, and we’re now gearing up to grow that experience even more with Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, a massive expansion coming autumn 2019.”

They add, “Just to recap, we’re bringing you a brand new environment, new monsters, new equipment to forge, a new quest difficulty rank, and much more! We’ll have more details on this expansion in spring 2019, so stay tuned.” Not much is known about the expansion at the moment save for the teaser trailer above, but as Capcom states, details will be released in the spring of 2019 so we’ll have to wait until then for the details.

In the meantime Capcom has announced Appreciation Fest that will include two updates to the game with Arch-Tempered Nergigante and also a special collaboration where it will see The Witcher’s Geralt brought into the game.
