The biggest annual gaming convention is going take place next month and it has now been revealed that the Sony E3 2018 announcements are going to be focused on “deep dives.” Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shawn Layden mentioned during the latest PlayStation Blogcast that the company is going to take a slightly different approach to its E3 announcements this year.

Sony’s previous presentations have brought us a flurry of announcements but Layden’s comments suggest that this won’t be the case in 2018. Sony has decided to “refresh and remake” its E3 2018 show so fans should expect to see “deep dives” into PlayStation 4 exclusives such as Death Stranding and Spider-Man.

The deep dive into the Sony E3 2018 announcements will include progress reports on how these exclusive games are moving through their development stage so fans can expect to see a lot of visuals alongside all of the new information.

Sony is also going to shed the spotlight on first-party, in-house games such as The Last of Us Part 2 and Ghost of Tsushima. Fans will get a detailed look at how each game is progressing as well as a “better understanding” of the respective developers are trying to achieve with these titles.

Sony has also confirmed on its PlayStation Blogs that fans should expect a detailed look at Death Stranding, Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima, and The Last of Us Part 2 during its E3 2018 event. Sony E3 2018 presentation is going to take place on Monday, June 11th at 6 pm PDT.
