It’s not surprising that the rumor mill has started focusing on the next LG G series flagship given that the LG G7 ThinQ is already out. That being said, it’s still far too early to be sure about anything related to the LG G8 at this point in time so it would be best to take all rumors related to the handset with a grain of salt for now.

LG isn’t due to unveil the G8 ThinQ until next year so it’s going to be a while before we hear something officially from the company about this device. This also means that we will be hearing a lot of rumors and reports about this device in the months to come.

The latest suggests that the LG G8 ThinQ is going to ditch the Quad HD displays that we have been seeing on LG’s flagships for the past few years in favor of a 4K resolution display. It may still be an LCD panel but the move to a higher-resolution display would enable the company to maintain parity with its rivals, particularly Samsung, which is expected to introduce its 4K AMOLED display with the Galaxy S10 next year.

As previously mentioned, though, it’s still soon to be sure about the LG G8 ThinQ at this point in time so we’ll have to wait and see how this plays out.
