Crackdown 3 was originally supposed to be released last year but according to multiple reports, Microsoft has decided to delay the game once again. When the game was last delayed, the company had said that it would be out in spring 2018. While no official confirmation of the delay has come in yet from Microsoft, reports suggest that the publisher has delayed the game to 2019.

Microsoft has reportedly decided to give the team additional development time which is going to push Crackdown 3’s release to 2019. It’s not known at this point in time precisely when this title is going to be released next year.

Crackdown 3 was announced back in 2014 and it has been through a lengthy development process. The game made appearances at gaming conventions between 2014 and 2017 but there was still no set date for its release.

A campaign demo was revealed at the E3 2017 gaming convention last year but it wasn’t very well received. The additional development time given to the team will be for ironing out any issues to ensure that the game meets expectations at launch. Microsoft is expected to showcase Crackdown 3 at its E3 2018 press conference so it’s likely that the company may also talk about the delay during the press event.
