Capcom had said that it would officially announce the Monster Hunter World PC release date today and it has followed through on that promise. Fans of the title will be excited to find out that the release date is actually just a few weeks away so they can start to get their gaming rigs ready for the game if they need to make some adjustments. Monster Hunter World is finally making its way to the PC after it was released for consoles in late January.

Monster Hunter World was initially scheduled to be released for the PC in the fall this year. Gamers are accustomed to delays when they’re waiting for new titles to arrive but Capcom is actually releasing Monster Hunter World for PC ahead of schedule.

Capcom has released an announcement trailer for the title which confirms that Monster Hunter World PC release date is August 9. It will be distributed through Steam. The company says that collaborations and other additional content that has already been released on consoles will also be rolled out for the PC iteration of the title “for free at a later date.” The additional content includes monsters Deviljho and Lunastra, according to producer Ryozo Tsujimoto.

It doesn’t seem like there will be mod support for the title at launch. It has previously been said that the PC iteration “will have parity” with its console counterpart at launch with further improvements being made through future updates that will be available for free.
