For those who did not know, Apple actually used to run a photo printing service for users of its Photos app (or when it was known as iPhoto). However last month Apple announced that the service would be discontinued, and now it looks like Apple is once again sending out reminders to users.

The email reminders not only serve to remind users that the service is coming to an end, but it also recommends users other alternative services if they wish to keep printing photos. One of those alternatives is RR Donnelley’s Motif, a Photos extension that claims to offer a comparable experience and product lineup.

There are a bunch of alternatives that Apple has mentioned on its support page, so for those who are looking to replace the service Apple has offered to users, this list could be worth checking out. Your mileage may vary depending on your needs, but given that there are currently eight different extensions to choose from, you’ll probably find something that’s suited to your needs.

For those who are hoping to get one final print via Apple Print Services, the deadline is the 30th of September, meaning that all orders need to be made by then, after which it will no longer be available.
