Earlier this was speculated that Nintendo could be looking to bring Castlevania characters to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Turns out the speculation was right on the money because Nintendo has announced that both Simon and Richter Belmont from the Castlevania series will be playable in the game.

The video above gives players a good idea as to how both characters will play in the game where it shows off both their skills and abilities. We’re sure that fans of Castlevania are no doubt excited about this as it also marks the first time throughout the entire Super Smash Bros. series that Castlevania has been added.

Many had thought that when Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was first announced that the only new characters we would be getting were the Inklings from Splatoon, Ridley from Metroid, and Daisy. However Nintendo’s latest announcement not only adds Castlevania characters to the game, but it also adds Kremling leader King K. Rool from the Donkey Kong Country series as well.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be officially released on the 7th of December and for the more ardent fans of the game, Nintendo also recently announced a Limited Edition bundle which bundles the game along with a GameCube Controller Super Smash Bros. Edition.
